The Driver provides safe and reliable transportation of staff and goods, ensuring compliance with ACF safety standards and local traffic regulations. This role maintains vehicle logbooks, performs daily inspections, and supports field operations across implementation areas.
Objective 1: Transportation of personal, goods and materials
- Always ensure the correct and safe driving taking care about the minimum safety standards as per NSOP and driving local rules.
- Update on daily basis the car unit log. book with all the required details mentioned in it.
- Responsible for the daily check on the car using the new checking list, ensuring the check list is updated on daily basis and handed over to the line manager.
- Responsible for the revision and regular maintenance of the car unit tool kit and first aid kit.
- Ensure that the fuel tank is always filled before any trip, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsible for moving, loading, and unloading ACF purchases, materials, and parcels when requested by the line manager with help of other colleagues if needed.
- Conduct field visits, transportation of ACF staff and goods when needed during weekends and holidays.
- Conduct field visits and transportation of ACF staff and goods to all the related implementation areas in the country as per the needs of the mission.
Objective 2: Driving Conditions
- Adapt the speed depending on the circumstances (road traffic, road condition, pedestrians, motorbikes, buses, etc.). Take extra caution in bad weather or if road is in bad condition.
- Follow the speed limits as per NSOP and general rules of the country
- Follow the ACF rules when convoy trips as per NSOP.
- Ensure the conditions of the car unit before the trip and carry all the time the proper documentation.
- Contract period: 6 months
- Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.
- Duty station: Hama.
