The Driver works under the supervision of the Base Logistician, and he is responsible for the assigned vehicles, to support ACF daily field and project activities. This includes transporting ACF staff to field locations, delivering documents and supplies, maintaining the vehicle in good conditions, and ensuring all movements are conducted safely and according to the ACF policies and procedures.
This role requires familiarity with local routes, adherence to security guidelines, and flexibility to respond to operational needs in a dynamic field environment.
- Drive safely and carefully, usage of seatbelts always, observing the speed limits and traffic rules; take extra caution in bad weather or if the road is in bad condition.
- update the logbook: recording mileage, fuel receipts, servicing, repairs, accidents, and other incidents.
- Responsible for daily and weekly vehicle check.
- Responsible for correct loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Makes sure that the fuel tank is always filled in and full.
- To secure and guard the vehicle and cargo while on duty.
- Follow all other tasks given thru his line management.
- Active driving / Valid Driving License / Syrian Roads.
- High School Degree (preferable).
- 3 years of Experience in driving.
- Languages: Arabic / English (preferable).
- Basic computer skills (preferable).
- Able to move inside the country
Contract period: 10 months contracts.
Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.
Duty station: Aleppo.
