Under the supervision of Community Engagement Officer, the Community Engagement Assistant is responsible for implementing hygiene promotion and distribution activities including data collection, awareness campaigns and training community stakeholders. Regular reporting, effective communication with supervisors, and timely documentation of project activities are essential, alongside providing ongoing training and support to focal points and committees, to promote sustainable and inclusive community networks.

This position is field based, with 90% of time in the field, office work will be assigned as needed by the line manager.

This position is open to current, active ACF Daily Workers only.

• Bachelor’s degree (community/public health, WASH, medicine, nursing, engineering, Social Work). 
• Must have knowledge of public health and have a minimum knowledge on WASH, hygiene promotion and/or public health practices. 
• Maintains a strong sense of confidentiality 
• Leads activities with skill and confidence 
• Listens effectively and adapts communication to different contexts 
• Communicates smoothly with all sectors of the community 
• Shows empathy and patience in interactions 
• Highly motivated and quick to learn new skills
